Reasons to Choose Us/Feedback from Customers

Thank you for viewing the YAKATABUNE PRIVATE BOAT CHARTERS TOKYO website.

This is a dedicated site for Yakatabune charter reservations.

We have partnered with a ship operator in Tokyo Bay.
Rather than offering a service where you share a boat with other guests, we have arranged for a houseboat that can be chartered by small groups of as little as two people or as many as 130 people.
A wide range of guests, from parents with children to the elderly, can enjoy a very private and enjoyable experience.
Our staff know everything there is to know about houseboat cruising, and will prepare the best plan for you after listening to your needs and purpose for using the service.
. We hope you will allow us to help you board the ship smoothly and make your voyage a memorable one

Three guarantees for our guests

1

We will guide you to the most suitable size, facilities, and departure location of the Yakatabune, which can be enjoyed from a small to large group of people by chartering it from among the various departure locations in Tokyo Bay.

2

Our staff who know everything
there is to know about cruises, will listen to your requests and purposes in using the service,
and propose a perfect plan including food and drink,
and events on board.

3

Even in case of a small number of guests,
we shall provide the greatest support possible
to make your charter cruise a
memorable one.

Why do guests choose our company?

Our guests find the advance quotation very reassuring, the methods of payment
and directions to the boarding area including the date and time are clear and easy to understand.

Consultations regarding food and drink options,
as well as on-board events are provided casually and free of charge.

For overseas guests, our English and Chinese-speaking staff
can provide reassuring support over the telephone.

Feedback from Customers

Thomas , 40’s from Kanagawa Prefecture used the service to entertain his boss from overseas.

As vice president from our head office was visiting Japan from France. I was looking to hold a party that would allow my guests to feel something really Japanese.
As we were only a small group of six people, including myself, my colleagues, and my subordinates, I had given up on the idea of being able to hire a houseboat. However, on learning of the “Yakatabune Private Boat Charters Tokyo” Reservation site, I decided to inquire.
This was already Friday and we had to make a reservation for the following Tuesday night, but somehow they managed to find us a ship that we could use for the party. They were also able to prepare the option of champagne, Japanese sake, and other food and drink and to satisfy our gourmet boss. I would definitely like to use this service again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much!

Mike, 60’s, from New York, USA,Visiting Japan because his wife was on a business trip

It was my first trip to Japan, and, I accompanied my wife on this occasion for her business trip. We took a cruise on the Yakatabune.
On this occasion, my Japanese friend invited my wife and I on the cruise, and there were five of us on the charter cruise including us, my friend and his wife, and their child.
After sightseeing around Asakusa, at the Senoso- Ji Temple and the like, we boarded the cruise from the evening. The sun setting in Tokyo Bay and the night scenery was really beautiful.
I love sushi, and normally, where I live in Manhattan, I eat Japanese food about once per week. However, the food I ate on the boat, such as the hot and crispy tempura prepared at that time onboard, the fresh sashimi, and the Japanese sake was a rank above.
As it was the beginning of January, we were in the midst of the cold winter, but the boat was heated well and it was really comfortable.
After that, we visited Hakone and Kyoto, but the view of Tokyo from the sea will live long in my memory.

Lin 30’s, from Singapore visited Japan with her family of five people

I take a long vacation of approximately two weeks in the summer about once every two years. On this occasion, I decided to stay in Tokyo on my way to visit my brother living in America.
When I came to Japan before, I remember seeing an interestingly-shaped boat, and on learning that I could charter it, I decided to reserve it.
We boarded the ship with our three children for a total of six people. Our youngest son was still only four years-old, so he was running around the ship. For this reason, we were reticent to use a shared boat where there were other guests.
We boarded the dinner cruise that departs from the evening, and although it was unfortunately raining on that day, we were able to enjoy the night scenery through the boat window. The children had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed the karaoke and the games.
Normally when we go overseas and take the children, we cannot eat dinner in a relaxed way. But with a charter, we can enjoy time as a family.
The food was tempura which satisfied the children. The boat staff dealt with us in a very friendly way.

A.J, 50’s, from Seattle, America, visited Japan for a summer vacation with her husband

This was my first trip to Japan with my husband. On this occasion we took a boat from Ryogoku Asakusabashi, so we boarded the boat after visiting the Edo-Tokyo Museum.
We took a daytime cruise in the hot summer month of July, but the air conditioning in the boat made it very comfortable, and the sea breeze outside the boat was also very pleasant. We passed other similarly-shaped boats, but we were the only ones chartering it as a couple, and it gave us a special feeling as if we were chartering a limousine. It was a two-hour cruise and the food and drink was also very satisfying.
